Our in-house interior design team worked closely with Carbit to provide furniture and decor elements that would bring warmth and style to their new space, including private and shared offices, lunchroom, conference and meeting rooms, and customer presentation area.

Key Interiors furnished and installed a custom fume hood, hospital/lab-grade plastic laminate cabinets, and black, chemical-resistant solid phenolic countertops to withstand the rigors of constant testing and look good while doing so.

We designed a traditional banking aesthetic but softened it up with various accents and brought character to a professional new space.

A start-up advertising firm was moving into its first office and wanted to create an open office for their creative team. The design needed to blend their company’s clean and bright aesthetic with the historic and industrial charm of their building. A tight schedule was needed to ensure the client could move into the new space before their previous lease expired while retaining employee satisfaction.

Key Interiors refreshed Overture’s breakroom, sales showcase, and three conference rooms. We emphasized their corporate colors and powerful core values throughout the spaces.

Working with the client and her team, Key Interiors offered space planning and design to open up two private offices and create an expansive meeting space, complete with a custom wet bar and lounge area for break-out meetings.

The manufacturer of iconic household brands, Reynolds Consumer Products was looking to refresh the outdated, heavy-traffic plant areas in their facility. The focus of the project was on their main cafeteria, locker rooms, and numerous plant washrooms. The goal was to update the spaces and more importantly, show appreciation to their valuable employees.

New trends are never a challenge for Key Interiors. In this project an emerging IV therapy and cryotherapy clinic turned to Key Interiors to design and build out a soothing clinic space. With specific requests for a relaxed spa feel, patient privacy along with the challenge of a smaller space plan Key Interiors built out one of the fist such clinics in the Chicago Area.

Key interiors provided a turnkey solution including architectural and interior design, construction, and furniture for Wide Transport Inc.’s approximately 4,500 square foot new corporate office in Chicago’s south suburbs.

Key Interiors designed a flexible office concept with minimal private offices and a free address workstation design. Each employee has their own rolling drawer ped which they move from workstation to workstation. In a computer intensive job, the team enjoys a different view and a different neighbor every day. Private offices and collaboration areas are available for impromptu team meetings. A central and open break room encourages movement and conversation for a balanced work experience.

The World’s largest manufacturer of piston pins and powder metal parts wanted to update their 75 year-old facility while maintaining the historical integrity of this company which has been around for more than 115 years.

A long established international supplier of natural vegetable flavors needed an update to their administrative offices, a premium tasting lab and their research labs. This project was located entirely on the 2nd floor and required a new mezzanine build out over the existing factory floor. Food safety, odor control and a state of the art tasting lab were high priorities.

In the entry a laser-cut metal reception desk greets visitors while a custom mural grounds the seating area. Concrete floors, reclaimed barn wood, and live-edge walnut tables create a warm & textured, industrial look. A custom wall mural highlighting their clients’ locations takes center stage in the heart of the office. Carefully located storage and print center bars provide quick meeting spaces with plenty of work room. The central café invites team members to take a break and connect.

Key Interiors created a central corridor of private offices, placing the team workstations along the perimeter of the building to maximize exterior light and riverfront views. 

The modern rectilinear reception desk gives way to the open waiting area with dramatic lighting over the lounge. Glass walls bring light into the corridor and reception. Durable LVT flooring gives the look of exotic wood. Operatories were lined along the window wall to maximize views for the patients and allow natural light in the working space, with custom dividers adding contrast and privacy through the open area.

Key Interiors updated the floor plan, lighting design and air quality systems. Our team utilized low VOC, renewable and regionally sourced materials such as cork flooring and recycled wine barrel wood to achieve our goals.  Special attention was focused on the expanded employee break room which is now a space as comfortable as their own home.  The relocated conference room overlooks the shop floor to proudly display the heart of the business to clients and vendors.  Company provided bicycles and showers encourage employees and owners to implement a healthy lifestyle.

Key Interiors designed a one of a kind innovation space by utilizing the clients’ own materials in their custom built furniture. A whiteboard glass conference table with corrugated base allows for a constant flow of ideas. The layered lighting plan lends flexibility to mood and energy. Creatively displaying the infinite ways their materials can be used, inspires the team every day.

Key Interiors created a modernized dental office that met the client’s needs every step of the design & construction process

A corporate client approached Key Interiors with a limited budget and the need to build out a new office space with a fresh new look. Designing open plan workstations, tactical use of wallpaper in only specific areas, and accent drum light fixtures allowed us to meet the clients needs, delineate spaces effectively, and keep a close watch on the budget. It’s important to note that this client continues to use Key Interiors repeatedly on large scale projects around the country.

A rapidly growing home-healthcare provider needed to move to a new office and wanted to provide a fresh new look for a large number of employees to function efficiently. Working under a tight budget and time-frame, Key Interiors completely designed and built out a full office. Privacy based workstations with abundant storage, a fun kitchen, and a full range of other staff areas were effectively planned and furnished.

Key Interiors completed the complex six-phase project despite stringent work and building rules to complete the project on time and within budget. JSSI decided to replace all of their carpet, furniture and paint with modern styles and quality brands. By installing 150 LF of monolithic glass walls and doors across the face of all perimeter offices greatly enhanced the natural light, allowing it to permeate throughout the floor.

Key Interiors worked closely with a team of specialists to design and build out a site specific eating disorder clinic operating with high levels psychiatric safety protocol.

A client approached Key Interiors with a challenging space – an open concrete loft floor plan punctuated with far too many concrete columns, and the need for a large number of workstations. Our designers worked closely to develop an organic workstation design to flow around the columns and a generous amount of glass walls and partitions softens and lightens the interior. Polished concrete floors provide a low maintenance backdrop.

Among the largest clinics that Key Interiors has ever developed, this space is a masterpiece of dental design. With custom millwork, accent ceiling treatments, and a bold color scheme; Key Interiors has developed a memorable patient experience while allowing this office to effectively process a large standard patient load on a daily basis.

The doctors of Sycamore Orthodontics and Pediatric Dentistry teamed with Key Interiors to fabricate and install all millwork in the renovation of the pediatric wing of their office, a former residence built in 1900. Working alongside the client’s interior designer and contractor, Key refined the client’s millwork to fit and function in the space. Custom items include commercial-grade dental millwork, a reception tree built with a resin canopy, and custom banquette seating.
